HAPPY HOLIDAYS, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!!!

Hopefully this next year will actually be productive, and I hope everyone has a nice holiday.

Hello again. My streak of bad luck has not ended it seems.

A week and a half ago, my old laptop decided that it was time to kick the bucket. So I went to the Apple store to see what they could do. Because of the extensive repair history, however, they replaced the entire computer with a new Macbook Pro.

That is the best news I had, until I realized that the firewire cord that had worked with the previous laptop, and was what the external hard drives that I have use, are not usable with this model computer. Not to mention the USB cables for it are, naturally, at home. And I am not. And because the Apple people were not able to save anything from my old hard drive, I have none of my artwork. Which I don't even have Photoshop at the moment, since the install discs are also at home. Along with those for Painter, and Office, and Aperture, and Final Cut, and.....

Anyway, that is the reason why I will probably not have anything new uploaded until after Halloween. Which is royally pissing me off.

Also, because the weather has started getting colder, my cousin, who I am staying with at the moment, had to bomb the house with RAID. Friggin' fleas decided it was time to come inside and I was treated like an all-night buffet. I haven't been so itchy since I had the chicken pox when I was little.

Next, when I had been supposed to go home on this last Saturday, I had to change those plans too. On Friday, I got a call saying that it would be a very bad idea to come home the next day. Why you ask? My mother had contracted the H1N1 virus. She had used the city bus on Wednesday, and was exposed. Good-ish news though, they caught it relatively early and the medication they put her on is working. At least that's what I have been told. PRAYERS WELCOME!!!!!

And finally, I have been being treated like an entire bounce-house by an ornery four-year-old. And I do seem to be performing that function quite well... grrrrrrr.

Hopefully, my streak will end soon. Preferably before I get hit by a truck on my way to get my cousin from work... Massachusetts drivers are aggressive.

My rabbit named Sandy McBunBun died today.

He was taken by an infection that came on very suddenly causing pneumonia within less than two days. Sandy passed away around 6 o'clock this evening. He waited for my parents to get home.

Rest in Peace, Sandy. We loved you very much. We will miss you.

I am still alive, for all those concerned.

And hey, look, a new piece of "art." I seem to be getting a little of my drive back. Not a whole lot, but that's better than nothing. Look for some other new stuff soon.

I am sooooo sorry I have not posted anything since August. I would have, but I have nothing new to post. I have been in a major slump where nothing is inspiring to me. I haven't even picked up a pencil to do anything other than fill out applications. All of which have lead to nothing, BTW. And anything I already have done is too crappy to bother with.

In other words, I need help to get out of this. My artistic drive is all but gone at the moment. Not to mention, most of my drawing pencils are unusable because they have been either used up or broken. My colored pencils are still fine, but with nothing drawn, what am I to color?

Someone, please send me suggestions!!!!!!!!! I'll even try to fulfill requests if any are made of me!

I need something to break the wall in my mind to boot my muse from its little cave.
